The Battle of Bear Island is entering the final stages. We have returns from test readers and have done a final content edit. My editor (and daughter) is going through it for copy-editing issues at the moment. One more round of tweaks to the cover, and we will release that. Then it is off to formatting, a final look and pass it to Amazon. Possibly by the end of Jan.

My marketing and information passage on this one is particularly crap on this one.

Limit of Advance is still chugging along. Not fast enough, but I won't belabour the point.

The Arctic wind swept down on them from Mount Misery, it pierced every fiber of clothing and nerve they possessed.

“They’re here,” said Grimes.

“Good, let's warm this place up,” responded Foster as he crawled into position.

There, emerging from the haze of blowing snow were a group of Soviet soldiers. Evenly spaced in a long file, picking their way through the drifts and white crusted rocks. Looking. Searching for something or someone, whatever mysterious ghost had been lurking out of their reach.

Foster knew that the Russians had just found what they were looking for, but he planned to make that a costly discovery.

The Battle of Bear Island is set in the Northern Fury world where a hardline government deposed Mikhail Gorbachev and reasserted Moscow’s control of rebellious Soviet Republics. Three years later, in February 1994, the USSR lashes out against the economic strangulation imposed by the West and initiates a war to destabilise Europe and NATO.

Bear Island is a tiny speck of land between the North Cape of Norway and the Svalbard Archipelago. An island so remote and desolate few even knew of its existence until both the Soviets and NATO wanted to use it as a base to monitor each other.

Yes there will be an ebook.

We are not planning a hardcover or audiobook for this one, though.
