Silent Service Mission 1 Nuclear Release

Post by jc4751 »

Hello, picked this up and the Silent Service DLC. My question here is that I'm trying to launch the missiles against the base, but I'm seeing a nuclear weapons use not permitted or something similar in the weapons screen. Is there something I have to do to get the weapons released so I can launch them against the base?

In the Doctrine window of the sub in question, change Nuclear Weapons to Yes.

You don't need to do this, in fact the setting shouldn't be able to be modified by the player.

Nuclear release will be granted, and the doctrine automatically changed to yes when the SSBN is in within one of the launch zones and has come up to the proper depth to receive the targeting instructions. If that's not happening, then there's a bug somewhere in the scenario Lua. If that's the case, please make a post in Tech Support with the save file and the Lua log.
