Air support not going to change anything. Unfortunately for the Russians their fate was doomed as soon as they were forced to attack the Japs to save the Chinese. Had half a chance of putting up a fight if the initiative was won.

Do you feel like retiring this game and start a new instead?

You guys tell me, pretty sure you have played enough to know how this is going to finish. Ill keep playing as long as you want however I wasn't dealt the best cards at the start. USSR attacking the Japs so early isn't high up there on my strategy list. Russians just don't have enough units to stop filtering through the lines.

I am confident that the German position is a good one, and the summer has just begun. USSR is in a dire position.

However, much can happen, if luck so dictates.

With that said. I do not have a need to see how this goes. MWIF is a slow game. Playing like this is even slower, and a huge time commitment. Thus, I feel it is imperative that the game is fun, and exiting for everyone.

I know my fellow players have some plans remain to be put in motion, but I am sure they can save them for another game.

Starting a new game will be fun for us all. So I think poring our time into that is a better use.

In that case there is no use revealing those plans in this game and as you say there is a lot of time invested to get to this point. I must congratulate you guys on your game play, very methodical and it has given me a lot to think about. The Russians can be pretty beat up and come back but not at this position so early with a 2 front war. Help is a long way away with the USE not in a great position either. Happy to start a new game if you are willing to give me another chance. This version or the new v8 Beta?

I think this version would be better, Some regression bugs, I believe, in the latest version.

Did you want any discussions on house rules or more of the same?

If so I can set it up

We usually play try to play two games with the same rules. One game with each side.

Switching sides wouldn't be bad to keep things fresh. If you do not mind, that is.

If you have any suggestions on rule, or house rule, changes, then lets talk-

I've probably got more experience as Allies and didn't have all the input with the setup in this game. Would like to have another crack with Allies because I don't think the house rules or optional rules played a major part in the disaster. Would that be ok?

We've played two games in a row now as Axis, and would like to change things (to keep the game fresh). How about we play a game as Allies first, and then have another go as Axis?

I want to add that I understand you perfectly. One solution could be to try and play two games at the same time. one as Axis, and one as Allies. Leaving that to you.

xxxx

New thing for me that both sides want to play Allies. :)

That could be a plan. Let's get started on the rematch then consider a concurrent game with opposite sides in a few weeks. Will that work?

Well, if we're going to start with one game and then see about the other we would much prefer starting with the one where we switch sides thanks, and then start the other as soon as you feel ready for that. :)

😂 😂 Well you have been good sports about it and seem pretty keen to have a crack as Allies. Let's try the concurrent games starting at the same time then both parties get to play the side they want. I only suggested the delay as I am away for the Easter break so I might have been a little slower in game play.
