Algorithm/Equations to calculate distance?

(1) Does anyone know/have the algorithm/equations to calculate "straight line" distance between 2 hexes (hex dots) for MWIF?

(2) If so, would they be willing to provide it/them?

(3) If so, what is, or what are them?

Does Command/Distance Calculator (CTRL-D) not work? Has hex count and something called "air distance".

Thanks. That form works and I use it quite often. I was looking for the algorithm or set of equations so I could put it in Excel.
