"East War Front" - PC Boardgame for SC War in Europe

Post by welk »

I think Hubert and Bill should stop overdoing it on the whiskey: I bought War in Europe to play a PC wargame, and I ended up with some weird thing that looks like a PC board game played over 48 turns lasting 1941 to 1945 , and it doesn't even cover all of Europe—I only have East Europe and Russia... I’m really disappointed with the game, there is no any hex grid and and the pieces aren’t normal size. What did I miss during setup? Please, help !

The worst part is that I can't even see the Russians—they always attack by surprise. At first, in '41, it's super easy; I cut through them like butter, but after that it's a nightmare: the front line advances toward Berlin like a ghostly shadow, and I can't push it back...

Perhaps could I find some informations here :

The system will work like a PC Boardgame
1 turn = 1 month
Scale : Army groups (ultra strategic scale, with ultra large counters)
Total duration of the campaign : 48 turns (22 June 1941 to May 1945)
Look of map is not definitive, it will be better and improved (I use here old files of my SC1 mod but definitive graphs will change)
Map is ultra simplified like a boardgame (no rails, no roads, minimal reliefs and forests, but some invisible files graphs will be used, not seen by player)
All will be made to be able to play the entire Russian campaign 1941-1945 in some hours
This PC boardgame will be playable only Axis human vs Soviet AI, with fast AI

If this PC boardgame does interest plyers, I will do a version Human Soviet vs Axis AI

SC3 system (game + editor + scripts) is really the ultimate perfect tool to create your own games :P
