Transit zones and off map bases

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

Transit zones and off map bases

Post by ranknfile »

I have not yet tried the Grand Campaign and realize I can use trial and error to determine this matter concerning Transit Zone Hexes.

Where I am confused is:
Which bases are Southern Zone, or Southwestern zone, or Western Zone?
Northern Zone and Eastern Zone are straight forward enough to me.
Not sure which bases are Southern, Southwestern or Western however.

You don't have to really sweat it too much; if you send a convoy to Naples, for example, the TF commander will figure it out.

You just need to know what's connected to what, and it's based on basic geography........Canary Islands will be accessed from the SW Corner of the Map. Kiel, Leningrad, Murmansk from the Atlantic. Naples/Odessa from the Med. And the Axis can send ships around Africa, via Massawa, Spanish Guinea, etc.....this is handy if the Republic controls the Balaeric Islands
