Moving Fuel Inland

I am starting to experience inland Fuel Shortages in my PBEM game. I saw the same thing playing against the AI as the game moved into late 1936 and beyond, and I think it's repeating.

There is not a "global" shortage, i.e. there are fuel stockpiles in mainland Spain (around 60K around La Coruna, and another 60K between Cadiz, Seville, and Huelva). There's certainly enough to go around. The coasts have lots of fuel.

The problem seems to be it's not getting inland. I haven't moved any RR units or anything, it's just not flowing to where it's needed

I observed this against the AI. I can downgrade from Trucks and other things if it gets worse, but I wonder if there is a systemic bug?

Anyone else have this issue?

In a Republic AI game, I had the same problem, and it was never really solved. Fuel piled-up on the ports, but didn't seem to get inland.

Switch to the basic logistics system. Then everything will work normally.
(sure - it will be virtual, but it will be playable).

OK....can we do this in the middle of a PBEM?

And if so, I thought we were playing "Basic" already? Or is "Standard" not basic? We are using simplified logistics and replacements

As far as I can tell, the setting is "Logistics Model" in "Advanced Preferences", and that needs to be turned ON or OFF. It's currently ON, but can we change it in middle of PBEM?

I don't know what you mean by Standard,

There is a line in the preferences for logistics model.
If you enter yes, it means a detailed logistics model.
(but ​​it has a lot of problems with the development of armies on the map and problematic fuel transport).

If you enter No, it means that you have switched to the basic (to some extent virtual ala AE) logistics model.

I have no idea if you can do it in the middle of PBEM....

So, I've tried increasing the requested fuel for inland bases, but when I do that it mostly drains the remaining fuel from Inland bases, but leaves the large coastal stockpiles. Even at Lugo, which isn't far from 65K of Fuel at El Ferrol.....requesting 2K I only got a few hundred, and was still in the Red. That's despite having plenty of RR units around.

I think this function is broken, and we'll need a fix to continue

Don't expect that after switching to the basic logistics model, everything will work in one day.
You have to wait 10 to 20 days, and then you will see how it starts to be fixed.

And there are sometimes locations where even this basic logistics model cannot provide you with what you need.

RR units have absolutely no influence on this.

Have your ports "repel" the fuel, they will ship the fuel out. It is the opposite of "stockpile" and is in the same location on the base screen.

The same for oil and also have logistical units at the bases where you want the fuel and oil to go.

Found the setting.....it doesn't seem to help much, fuel is very stubborn to move from those ports (and supplies; Cadiz is still accumulating a massive stockpile). There is just a trickle in most bases, but inland almost every base is in the RED.

I'll give it a few turns to see if it improves at all

Did you increase the demand at far inland bases?
