How do I recover a lost password for a pbl file?

I don't think you can. Pretty sure your password is never recorded anywhere else. We are used to this sort of thing existing in the Cloud somewhere and there being a whole infrastructure in place to resolve lost passwords but this game is from 1997. None of that existed really and certainly not for a game.
