12 hexes from Warsaw

Post by wevilc »

Do any Axis players attempt to avoid infringing the irritating 18-unit limit prior to Barbarossa? I find it too annoying & fiddly & just ignore it.

Err ... it might be 10 hexes - can't remember.

I am the same Clive. I also find it very irritating! I have been ignoring it, but have paid for that in USSR mobilisation. I am interested to hear what others do aswell.

The map does not highlight the hexes until you are in breach. I've found myself tediously counting units, figuring I've complied with the limit but the circle remaining red.

you need to turn the options for it on and off again with the button to see if you have complied. It'll turn on automatically if you break it, but won't turn off automatically if you comply again. Maybe something the devs can fix if not too hard?

For the first question, of course I always comply. Because the rise in USSR mobilization is too big. I only don't comply like 1 turn before I attack. Because then it's more important to position the units right. That said. I'm of the opinion that you don't need too many units for Barbarossa. They just get bottlenecked. I like to use my units elsewhere. You don't need critical mass on the East Front until after the Winter War event. If you bring many units before that, it just means you lose more or you have to evacuate more... so I'd rather just not bring them XD
