RSVSR What Makes ARC Turbine No Damage Hunts Easy

Post by Rodrigo60 »

The Riven Tides coastline looks calm for about ten seconds, then the ARC Turbine shows up and reminds you why nobody extracts from Speranza with their shoulders relaxed. If you're carrying good ARC Raiders Items, that thing feels less like a patrol unit and more like a tax on bad positioning. Still, it's not unbeatable. Once you stop treating it like a random boss and start reading its routine, the fight becomes much cleaner. You're not trying to be brave ARC Raiders Items. You're trying to make it waste attacks while you chip away at the parts that matter.

Learn the pattern before you shoot
The biggest mistake players make is firing the second they see it. Don't. Watch it for a moment. The Turbine usually opens with an aerial pass, dragging that twin laser across whatever cover you thought was safe. Wooden walls, dock shacks, thin crates, all of it gets eaten fast. So don't marry your cover. Move sideways, keep your camera up, and leave yourself space to cut back. When it starts glowing red, get ready. That Grounded Slam looks nasty, and it is, but it also locks the machine into a short recovery. That's your chance to reset the angle, reload, or get above it.

Bring tools that let you control the angle
The Bettina feels like the smart pick right now. After the tuning pass, it hits ARC plating harder and doesn't kick around as much as it used to. That matters because the Turbine's weak spots aren't huge. You'll want steady bursts, not panic spraying. A Powered Descender is just as important. When the slam comes in, pop upward instead of rolling around on the ground like everyone else. For a second or two, you'll see the whole machine laid out beneath you. Decoys are the quiet MVP here too. Toss one forward and the Turbine will often turn just enough to expose the parts you actually want to punish.

Break the wings, then punish the vent
If you can start from the cliffs above the docks, take that position. Height changes the whole fight. The laser tends to clip stone or terrain instead of drawing a clean line through your chest, and you get a better look at the rotating wing flaps. Those should be your first target. Break them and the Turbine is forced down, which is exactly where you want it. Once grounded, it vents heat from the rear and shows that blue core. Don't hesitate there. Throw a Decoy toward its front, swing around the back, and dump damage into the core while it's busy facing the wrong way.

Make the kill worth the risk
A clean Turbine hunt is about patience, not fancy movement clips. Keep your distance, force the turn, and spend your best ammo when the core opens. With durability being a bit less punishing now, it makes sense to use the gear you were saving for “later,” because later usually means dying with it in your bag. If you're gearing up between runs, some players choose to buy ARC Raiders Items so they can stay stocked for these bigger hunts without wasting time on small scraps ARC Raiders Coins. One well-played Turbine kill can carry a run, especially when Expedition scoring rewards real damage instead of safe little farm routes.
