Commander KIA but not displaying in Logistics Report

Post by Pip31 »

Playing a PBEM game with a friend. During their last turn, one of my army commanders was KIA.

In the past, whenever I lost a commander, it seemed to display in the logistics phase report. This time there wasn't any indication about him getting replaced there and he was just marked as KIA in the CR.

We assume this is just a bug, but there's enough about the game we're still shaky in our understanding on, so asking here in case I'm overlooking something.

I have had this happen before playing as the germans.

The game does not always report leader casualties to both players. I don't remember the details, but it might be that leader casualties taken during the enemy player's turn are the ones you won't get a message about. Casualties in your logistics phase are probably getting event log messages, and there are probably messages that pop up during movement and combat during your turn when a leader is a casualty. I recall reading the best suggestion is to start of each turn by checking the leader tab on the CR screen and check the fate column to see which leaders have been killed.
All understanding comes after the fact.
