Looking for a 1st ELO game (closed)

I wish to try a first elo game in WaW. I can play more than 1 turn each day. I play from France. I prefer play Axis.

PS : what is no xp farming?

Hi Gronivaure, welcome to the World at War ELO. I'm glad you could join us. Do you have a lot of experience with World at War and the Matrix forums?

XP farming is where you constantly bombard an empty coast town with a battleship or carrier in order to accumulate experience. It's a slow process and annoys a lot of players because it fills battle results reports with unnecessary activity.

Thanks for this rule. I often loose ship point before taking xp when i made shore bombardment. But why not.
I have 250 hours on WaW. In great majority with IA. I'm sure that the fun and the challenge will be more important with all of you here.
I have start my first ELO game as Axis with Jonny25k. Thanks to him!

Make sure that you or Jonny25K posts your game start in the ELO Tournament thread. You usually do that near when the game begins, otherwise it may not be considered ELO. In the thread you'll find that Firsteds provides a format for posting a new game and then posting the results of the game.

Just to build on Bill's answer.

XP Farming is when your unit cannot inflict or incur damage on a port or resource hex. But the attack still builds experience.

Attacking a port with a BB or CV to reduce its supply value is entirely valid. Similarly Tac Bombers or Med Bombers can reduce ports and resources and receive damage in the attack. Units that cannot damage those resources, like Fighters or Destroyers, that carry out attacks would be considered XP Farming.
