Range to HQ

Post by echo9c »

I'm not sure what to make of this.

When I made a scenario using British Units, a Tank Bn and a Mech Bn for example, the "Range to HQ" in the Unit Dashboard is the same as if the units were recce units. For example 4/-.
The platoons seem to be okay but the Coy and Bn Hq's are not.

I added Units from the Cdn and US data base and their "Range to HQ" was as normally expected at every command level. For example 3/16.

Did you place an HQ above the problem HQs, or were they not reporting to anyone else?

Yes there was a brigade HQ above the unit HQs. I did the exact same thing with each National force, Cdn, US and UK. Only the British were affected.

Ok I think I figured it out. Every Brit HQ that has a fox recce vehicle in it seems to be affected.

Do the Brit HQs show up as HQs or as Recce units in the Dashboard?

I looked at a British Armored Battalion with Challenger 1 Tanks. The Bn HQ and Sqn HQ’s also have Fox Recce Vehicles

In the Dashboard:

Battalion HQ, Listed as British Headquarter Company, Range to HQ: 7/-

Tank Squadron HQs, All Listed as British Reconnaissance HQ Platoon, Range to HQ: 2/-

The Tank Troops are listed as British Tank Platoon and their Range to HQ is Normal, 1/10
