time needed for A/C loadouts change

Post by Tcao »

It seems the loadouts change is using a different formula, cannot say it is a bug or WAD

This is before issuing the change loadouts order

and here is after change the MK82 to AGM65, it should take 6 hours. In pervious builds, such order will change the ready time back to 6 hours
loadout change 2.jpg

but now the total time needed = 6 hours + (6 hours - pervious time to ready) ?

So let's say one A/C has 1 hour to become ready, but now issue a new loadouts change. The time to ready become 6+ (6-5) = 11 hours?

I'm not able to repro this in the scenario you provided or a fresh one, what version of the game are you running?

That's correct.

I think it was this fix.
FIXED: #17049: Loadout times now respect residual time when changing loadout while preparing another.

Noticed it when testing Trident Boreal scenario.

In the previous build I could do the trick of changing LRASM for JASSM in the scenario time for two of the B1-Bs.

In B1817 and after, could not.

it makes sense since you have to unloaded Mk82 first then load AGM65, unloading takes extra time.

But in this logic what about the "Ready" aircraft, why a fully loaded ready aircraft only needs 6 hours to change to another loadout?

As we discuss it:
a change form Ready > Ready(without Optional) takes zero time which also feels artificial

repoduced it in Build 1825-15

The elapsed ready time is alternately added and subtracted from the ready time of the selected loadout.
Workaround: select a unwanted loadout, click ready then change to the desired one.
