Oh yes. That has to be it. I thought database 6.0 was used for both ETO and PTO. Do I need the older database?

Download the .eqp file. Paste it into your graphics override file, located at (on my computer):

Ok, scrolling back a bit, I THINK I see the problem.

There are two versions of the .eqp database. One of them is compatible with old scenarios, one of them is not. If you're seeing Brit biplanes at Pearl Harbor, it is likely that you dropped the wrong one in your graphics override folder.

In the first post of this thread, both are available. Drop the compatible one (Version 5.2) in your Documents>My Games>Graphics Override folder. This will affect every scenario you play.

The incompatible one (Version 6.0) should only be used for new scenarios you make going forward. This should keep the Brits where they belong.

I tried that. I'll try it again after deleting the file first. Thank you very much. Wait! I have this now in both the game and the my documents file. Do I need that in my documents/my games?

I tried everything. The download must be wrong.

Just to be be clear:

There are two Graphics Override files on your computer. One is on your O: drive, and one is in Documents>My Games>The Operational Art of War IV

Best practice is to NEVER modify, add or delete ANY file in the O: drive folder. Doing that can make changes that can't be undone.

Just leave that one alone.

The whole reason the Graphics Override folder exists in the Documents>My Games>The Operational Art of War IV path is to make changes you may want to undo. The Graphics Override folder in Documents>My Games>The Operational Art of War IV literally supersedes anything on the O: drive anyway, so there is NO NEED to touch that other one.

The only place that new .eqp file should appear is in Documents>My Games>The Operational Art of War IV>Graphics Override.

Thank You! I did not know this. Eliminating the folder in my C that I put there drive did not change anything. So what you're saying is I have to reinstall the game? Well I know what NOT to do. I just don't know what TO do.

Hmmm. Is the original .eqp file still in your computer anywhere?

I don't understand how, if I installed the folder in graphics override, that I put the .eqp file in, titled to the scenario, it can be replacing the 'original eqp'. If there's a default eqp file, I have to believe it's still there.

Well, when you search your computer for ".eqp", how many files show up and where are they located?

If you have One Drive active it can totally mess things up. Not saying it will but it can.

I have a .eqp file for every scenario that required an eqp folder(and they work fine). Apparently Silent Hunter 4 also uses .eqp files, so I have a couple hundred files in my E drive, in my steamlibrary.

I think I see the problem. I only have 5 eqp files in 'my documents'. And these two: ETO and PTO are both called 'equipment.eqp' while the others are all titled according to their scenario.

I've since given up on this mod, deducing the download is wrong. I changed the filename, everything. I don't expect someone to walk me through it. Thus, I'll leave it at 'looks good'. US starts with old British carrier biplanes in Hawaii.
