Plane crashes

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Plane crashes

Post by muppetbaby »

8 days into the 1943 Campaign, and i am losing way more to crash landings at my bases, than to enemy action, every raid i send will lose planes to crash landings, a few down to damage sustained, but by heck it is a wonder we won, sent a raid of 180 lost 2 to Flak 3 to fighters, 15 to crashes on landing. Brutal.

Bad weather over your bases is the biggest factor in crashes of damaged aircraft for both sides. Try to take a break once in a while, especially if the next day weather forecast shows an improvement.

Try to look out especially for low cloud, if cloud is down at 500 you will be especially vulnerable to crashes, I think,

A tactic I use as RAF is to rotate which bomber group does a raid so they get some rest, but the Luftwaffe gets little to none,
