What were your game settings? What do you mean by 'game did not spawn with the same race pirates'?

What do you mean 'no kill the hive mission tree' - do you mean pirates don't ping you for help against the Hive?

Was the Hive captured by pirates at all?

Regarding the tech bonuses - do you mean the starting tech bonuses the Ackdarians start with or that they get from finding their homeworld? It's possible some other empire got to the Ackdarian homeworld before you did.
Game settings were the same as always, although I had to change a few when the update rearranged them.

There were no Akdarian space pirates, period. And no, no pirates asked me to save them from the hive - no ping. The hive also did not attack any of the pirate bases I was aware of, they just hung around a gas giant.

No idea what "Was the Hive captured by pirates at all?" means

Possible about another faction getting to my homeworld first, as both the homeworld and the medium ancient Akdarian starbase were closer to my neighbor's capital than mine. No constitution crystal (I did get the Human one though), no "100k to sacrifice a scientist to get fast bombers and interceptors (skip / wave) / 20k only get 1 and keep the scientist." It's called "Former Akdarian Colony" and costs 20k to be safe, and 100k to get both techs. So yeah, the faction story events were only half there. I did get Ancient Ruined Mine, Crashed Research Station, Ancient Spaceport, and Ruined Shipyard events though.
That's certainly strange. Do you have a save you could share with us showing your game? It seems like something went wrong in galaxy generation as we haven't seen other similar reports like this.

We would also recommend doing a Steam file verification if you're on Steam and/or a complete clean reinstall just to make sure there's nothing going wrong from installation issues.

Have you seen this happen in other games or just this one?

On the Hive ship question - pirate ships should be equipped with boarding pods, and there's a chance they may have captured Hive ships by some chance. That would be quite rare, but not impossible, os just wanted to see if such a situation occurred or not.

Verify integrity means resetting everything. 16.6 kb download.

Here is a save file from right after I was contacted by the 6th set of space pirates. I have some earlier ones, if you need them. StableWarpFields, ComprehensiveExploration, and 4 more pie rats.

I'll start a new game and see what happens.

Worked fine in a new game. Just got the Akdarian pirates after researching StableWarpFields.

I went back to the previous release version 1.3.4.3 (non-beta). Verified game files on Steam so the game settings was reset. Played a game, then suddenly noticed I saw the whole galaxy without even noticing at first. Went back a few saves and checked when it happened. No galaxy map sharing deals.

just happened again, 2790. There is a second Akdarian empire with 4054M people on one planet. I THINK that may be the problem, if new empires arisen from OPMs (one planet minors) get the whole starmap. I have a save from a year earlier, I will see.

Yup. Akdarian Empire pops up near another Akdarian colony I just colonized, offers me galaxy map sharing, and the entire galaxy is revealed. My galaxy setting are for me and 12 AI empires, there shouldn't be a second of anything.

Compressed saves are more than 10megs though.

I have an ambassador shortage game started 1.3.5.8). I have 2. 7 admirals, 6 generals, 6 scientists, 8 spies.

There are 16 AI nations, at least 4 of which are OPMs that appeared mid game. This, of course, makes the ambassador shortage worse.

I am a technocracy, which should offer +40% ambassadors.

I keep getting told to offer migration treaties to an empire, which keep getting rejected, because they have no ambassador assigned. Suggest treaties needs to check for that. But I have no ambassadors to send.

new game under 1.3.5.8, I have 2 green nebula with pings, yet my explorer ships are ignoring them.

I checks, and the medium exploration ships do have ion sheath (reactive) armor, so it should be safe.

Not sure what is wrong. I have already found several homeworlds and got super research projects, but not my own. No constitution crystal / way of the ancients yet either. In terms of galaxy progress, The rift striders have arrived.

I think they showed up too soon, which is probably due to there being 21 AI civs at this point, 7 of them OPMs. If their research is added to the total, it would explain a lot.

Started a new game with 1.3.6.0 as Mortalen on standard settings (only changed galaxy size etc). At 2810 a Dhayut empire declared war against me and their ships started to move in extremly fast. I had long range radar and checked one fleet, and all ships moved at 1 188 000 in speed. Which was about 3x times my fleet speed. I know Dhayut have their fast velocity drives, but this was TL5 drives when I was at TL2. Quite a surprise. : )

1.3.6.0: 15 pirate factions met, none of my race. Me + 12 AI. My settings are few pirates of normal strength, do not respawn.

I also have 12 systems with red resources, 15 construction ships idle, and 128k in the private economy. Save and reload did not correct. Manually queueing after save and reload did correct.

I am chronically short on money, I think because of the lack of civilian construction and attendant shortages. I chose abundant colonizable worlds.
