Newbie with a question pbem++

Post by scout1 »

Don't have this title or any in the series.

I understand the concept of WEGO approaches but am curious as to how the game logistics word for a 2 player game (presumably using pbem++). As I understand it glancing thru the manual/game overview, each side has the ability to modify turn orders during the execution of the turn. More often for NATO than the WP.

How is this implemented using pbem++ as the entire turn does not appear to be completed w/o some potential changes ... Or do I not understand the process here ?

In a multiplayer game, the game resolution will pause for the turn to be passed to the other player so that they can issue their orders. When a player downloads the save they will get a replay of what happened between when they last uploaded and the game's current state (actually, I think this might be slightly changed with the VCR changes I put in so that the replay will actually start at the player's last turn). Then with the replay over they will put in their orders like normal and watch resolution until the next player's order phase.
