Subtle, but brilliant/slick tactical move on your part that I wish to point out that made a difference in this port strike.Orm wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2026 10:36 am Mar/Apr '40

I noticed that you escorted your 2 CVPs, both with ranges less than 4, executing the port strike with a 4-range CVP. Now this 4-range CVP had the reaction range to counter intercept if Jason had elected to intercept, which he didn't.
So on the surface it looked like this CVP escort was wasted. But; here comes the brilliant tactical play on your part in my opinion. The 4 range CVP escort gave your port strike group 1 sea box higher and thus 1 additional surprise point.
And in this specific case "reduced" Jason's surprise points from 4 without the escort, which would have allowed him to avoid, to 3 with the escort which allows your port strike to proceed.
By the way, I noticed your tactic before Jason's response to intercept or not; but waited to comment on such until after Jason's decision. I didn't want to potentially influence his decision and your game ( e.g., intercept with the goal of knocking the 4 range CVP out of the strike group and reducing allied surprise points by 1).

Save the points to select target for the Axis
Re: Escape from the Wildfire (4-player game).
The German AA is pretty accurate, and four points are removed (10,4,4,8). How to proceed?

No Naval Air.
Naval Movement:
CW+FRA:
Battle fleet -> West Med 3-box
2 SUB -> ItC 3-box
Liner + MIL -> Red Sea
TRS + HQA Gibraltar -> Calais
The UK - West Africa convoy chain is strengthened.
Convoy escorts do their thing.
Allies may search in two sea areas,

No contact in the Italian Coast (8-8).
Next is the Western Mediterranean. CW adds one FTR2 to the 0-box.
Will Axis add any air? include SUBs?

Allies stay. Does Axis stay? If so, add any air? Include SUBs? if not, then where does Axis abort?
Edit: Axis stay as well.
Edit 2: including SUBs for Italy.
