Final day

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Final day

Post by muppetbaby »

So sent an 800 British Bomber raid out clear skies, as usual it misses the target, GEE Oboe or whatever it misses, as it always does

280 B-17 hit Bremen for 2% damage 7 break up returning 8 crash on landing, not including damage and shot down

48 Spitfires return from a raid in Italy and 16 crash and are destroyed on landing and 4 are damaged all on THE SAME AIRFIELD WTF, i presume flying at 10000 feet 1500 under the cloud cover means they Kamikaze into that airfield

We loose including the above 78 aircraft to Germanys 8 plus 4 crash landings

Only thing that saves me is Typhoons raiding coastal sites otherwise Germany would win the Air War in 43

Gave up turn 35

Games nice idea but sadly some algorythms are mad

Have to go into folder to delete games as well, and it runs like a brick

GEE and Oboe only have a range of 300-350 miles from the coast of England. You have some pathfinders early on with H2S radar which has unlimited range. Use these for the lead flight.

Try not to fly in bad (>40% and definitely not >60%) weather. The frequency of bad weather seemed to be the biggest complaint in playtesting.

What type of raid were the Spits flying? At 10,000 feet you probably had a lot of flak-damaged aircraft, especially if it was a sweep. Check the damage level of the units as they return to base and you will notice the correlation of crashes with damaged A/C.

Run the game through DXWnd.
