HTTR and Windows 98SE

Post by Panzer Capta »

Would like to know if the game, including the upgrade, will function properly with Windows 98SE. I ask because i would really like to purchase the game, but have read some previous post indicating that it might not work properly. I prefer not to upgrade my operating system at present because all of my programs work perfectly with Windows 98SE. Would particularly be interested in comments from any (if there are any of you left) whom are currently running HTTR on Windows 98SE. I know the "minimum requirements" indicate the program will run with Windows 98SE........in fact, some of the HTTR sites indicate it will run with Windows 95, which appears to be incorrectly stated.

Thank you in advance.

I played RDOA and various early HTTR betas on an older PC running Win98 SE. No problems. I, also, did a little testing of one of the late HTTR betas on a different environment running Win98 SE. No problems. (Predominantly, I currently run and test under WinXP Pro.)

The RDOA/HTTR code base is actually one of the most stable applications I have seen both in terms or games and other software applications.

So, go for it.
