Unit information - teardrop?

What is the teardrop shape on the unit counter just under combat preparation points? I can't find anything saying what that is in the manual.

I believe that is unit fatigue. If not, then I'm in for a rude awakening

I always thought it was sweat, perspiration that reflects activity level.
