Great turn here.
I have changed direction to atack from north to east and managed not only to create decent pocket but I have advanced 9-10 hexes towards Moscow and Kaluga. Great success.

Souther part of AGC isn't able to achieve anything.

Encirclement near Kiev has been achieved, so I will be albe to push forward at slightly higher pace there.

Near Kharkov I have embarked on oportunitic raid towards Kursk. I don't have enough troops to achieve anything meaningfull there.

Donbad has been captured so I will be able to divert part of troops to secure Crimean crossings. Pushing into penisula feels unrealistic at this moment in time.

Turn 9 End 4/4

Summary

Thanks to good first turn I have managed to keep Soviet forces below 3M but as my troops advance steght required to create big pockets is gradually eroding.

Side comment - we play with open TB boxes and I think it helps Germans more than Soviets. (I might be wrong as I haven't played with open TB as Russian)

I can advance here only if my opponent gives ground. It took place near Narva and my raid east of lake Ilmen is designed to create similar situation.
Barbarossa is over here.

I have extended perimeter I advance towards Moscov. Crossing Oka river will come handy.
Supply situation isn't great but still good enough to advance.

In the souther part of AGC I can finally move forward because Soviet are retreating east.

One more panzer push north towards Kursk. My objective here is to gain some ground before winter and support future attack from Tula region towards Moscow.

Not many troops left in Donbas so capturing Rostov will be possible if Soviets are equally weak.
Infantry that was supporting push east was diverted south to help reach norther part of penisula before mud.

I haven't managed to advance signle hex towards Leningrad. Result of following battle mean I won't be even able to cross riven properly without reinforcements.
My opponent didn't react to my bait and didn't overcommit to my raid east of lake Ilmen.

Transitory turn near Moscow. I made decent push north towards Kalinin and strenghten my forces near Tula for further advance.

AGC infantry is moving north-east to get to Moscow fast plus, panzers from AGS bypassed Kursk from east.

Soviets stopped my little raid east of lake Ilmen at very small cost, so that concludes my acttions here with exeption of encircling Talinn.

I have managed to advance on both wings of Moscow front.
Attack towords Kalinin was smaller success than it should due to my initial decisions during this turn and questionable manevuering.

Kursk region sees same pattern as before - I am trying to disloge main defense line with attack outside just at the edge of main defensive line.

Hi
Just got up to speed with this AAR @Kamil your lightning Blitzkrieg through Russia is impressive to the best of my memory I am yet to capture Kharkov in 41 against the AI, I'm sure your opponent is a capable player however this game could be over before winter looking at your maps your 30 miles from Moscow at turn 12, your 50 from Ryazan, I don't know if you hold Tula and your so close to to taking Rostov if you maintain this momentum secure those cities mentioned and hold what you already have its over come Oct if its a sudden death match.

Why do I bring this up well reading your post on page 1 your advocating that this will be your last game of WITE 2, like others here I hope you reconsider but wish you well in your next endeavour, having said that as I wrote and others also mentioned in your post in the general section while the factories might be an issue its Red Army Manpower that's the killer and your well on way to winning this game if things continue on this path long before manpower and factories start to bight, of course your opponent could and may stage a recovery but even so the territory you have now puts a big hole in his manpower in the current time.

Anyway good luck to you both I will following to see if you can take Moscow before December.

Stalino Turn 9. Moscow before Mud hits. Sure Leningrad seems to hold, but this should be a German win.

Every time I read an AAR lately, the Germans seem unstoppable in 1941. I wonder if supply is a tad too plentiful for the Wehrmacht in the current meta... :-/

Than you for kind words and suggestions in regards to Manpower related strategy. I have limited expetience in post '41 games so every advise matter.

It is really hard to say as AARs shows that both sides win.
It would be interesting to see stats from server games. It would enable us to have access to better data. (bigger sample size)

Fatefull turn.
Due to poor judgment and insuficient recon I have decided to continue my efforts to encircle Moscow, instead of creating massive cauldron in Orel area. I think it was mistake.

I have captured lots of ground but potential alternative gain was pocketing 15-20 divisions.

Yes, that's an impressive advance by the German troops.

The question, in my opinion, is whether the Germans can adequately supply their units until the mud season.

From my perspective, there are some weak points along the front.

If the Russian troops exploit these, especially in winter, the tide could turn very quickly.

It will be interesting, hopefully in good way.
I haven't been before in situation I am now, so logistic during mud can potentially surprise me not in a good way. Shall see.

@Kamil

Orel

You can still potentially trap the Orel forces the rail line from Yelets to Volovo is cut so no rail resupply of course he can supply by road and air but in 1941 Russian supply situation was not good, also they are not cut off completely there is narrow corridor to escape but he cant get them all out and if you seal it off in the next couple of turns properly you have the chance to possibly take Voronezh. The rail junction 10 miles east of Volovo is crucial since your units are regt level you need to secure it to be certain.

Now of course your opponent is not going to sit idly by and just let you stroll in and take it but the speed your moving he may not have the strength to hold your forces back.

Moscow

I have only ever seen one other ARR where Moscow was on the verge of falling in 41 this is pretty cool, your opponent has put a valiant fight but you take Noginsk and Kurovskoe get a strong unit to push out that routed Div and hold the hex or in fact any hex next to Moscow proper and he's in real trouble, you can take Ryazan from what I see there is a lot of routed enemy Div's, again you will have to see how your opponents next couple of turns play out, potentially you could have two massive pockets and your opponents closest supply base is now Saratov.

Leningrad

Looks like you have cut the main Moscow / Leningrad rail line unfortunately there are two others which means the factories will be moved but I don't think it will matter much for you.

Well that's my two cents on the current state of the AAR
