Logistic model

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

Logistic model

Post by josemanuel2804 »

Hi guys
After working some turns (I'm currently end december 36) in my humble opinion the detailes logistic model doesn't work (at least for fuel) I've tried many solutions and nothing works
I request the devs to check the model again, there is no way to send the fuel from ports to units and many many units are stopped in middle of nowhere awaiting for fuel that never arrives
All the fuel are in ports and never moves from there
Any advice ?
Regards

I can look into the "why" if you provide save games along with unit ID and hex position. This allows me to check the respective cases as to why they do not get fuel.
From the description alone it is hard to tell if it is a bug or working as designed. Logistics are a bottleneck by design in how far you can go from your Bases. Also they are one for moving stuff between Bases.

On your end you can check the unit cards on the green "Logistics cap" text. Click that and you will see the Base the unit it most likely to use for resupplying, the number of logistics points, path length in hours and most importantly how many tons can be moved from these points. Most units cannot operate far from Bases with their own logistics capacity. Bases have little capacity by themselves.
Dedicated logistics units and/or HQ units with many logistics units are to be placed either in a hex ( only working for this hex) or the Base that is likely to be used. In the latter case the Base will serve units in the order they ask for stuff until the logistics are used up. (- This can explain the sometimes yes / sometimes not being supplied ) Any leftover logistics are used to move stuff between Bases.

As both logistics systems are somewhat demanding it is often the case a unit does consume more supply per turn than can be moved into a given hex.

That being said I will of course check the model again if you can provide a save and unit ID / hex position for me to examine what does go on during that given turn.
The only responsible person. (Unless I can frame someone else)
