25 Years 2BY3 Games - World War II by Three Guys

... when taking another trip down memory lane, i realised that 2by3 Games is apparently celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
we’re already halfway through 2026, and it seems that the company – made up of three guys who develop games set in WW2 – started up around the first quarter of 2001 ...

so ... without further ado .. to Gary Grigsby, Joel Billings and Keith Brors HAPPY 25TH ANNIVERSARY!

It's something I appreciate across gaming in general. Whether it's classic strategy titles like these or newer platforms such as Roblox, the games that stand the test of time are usually the ones backed by passionate developers who keep improving the gameplay, listen to feedback, and continue supporting their communities with meaningful updates.

It's amazing to think that what started with Gary Grigsby, Joel Billings, and Keith Brors around 2001 has grown into one of the most respected studios for WW2 strategy games. Their dedication to historical accuracy and deep gameplay is something that's become increasingly rare.

Thanks for digging up those old magazine snippets and the archived website—it was a fun trip back in time. It's always fascinating to see how far the studio has come over the past 25 years.

Here's hoping the team has many more successful years ahead. Congratulations to everyone at 2by3 Games, both past and present, and thank you for continuing to create such outstanding wargames!

... being somewhat easily pulled into complicated(-looking) GUIs myself, Gary Grigsby's games were just right up my alley. nobody's scared anymore doing their taxes after getting into these spreadsheet monster wargames - LUV!
