Total Victory

Wow.....Al.... just saw the utube demo of your new game with commentary by Zilla Blitz. I remember you said you would get to the WW2 global game and I must say this looks outstanding.

Supposedly there is a demo on Steam but I'm not a steam person. Any chance you will make the game available through Matrix?

Also ZB mentioned the release date has been pushed back to February 2027. Are you still on track for somewhere in that time frame? Doesn't matter, you'll get my $$$, take your time, this will be the definitive GS game of WW2, and you know I'm a life long fan of SC. Looks like the student has out done the master, sorry Hubert.

I'll pass on what I know. Feb. 2027 is the latest release date. Total Victory will be Steam only. Warplan and Warplan Pacific have reverted back to Alvaro from Matrix and updates will be Steam only going forward. Total Victory will not use the Slitherine PBEM++ MP system but old school email the turns manually. I'm sure Alvaro will be along to correct anything I got wrong.

The PBEM can have upto 8 players.
It got delayed because I needed more time to do the computer opponent. It's very difficult.

Thanks budd and Al, appreciate the reply. I'm wondering Al if you might consider a release on some other platform other than steam?

From my understanding a steam release allows only gameplay with an internet connection, please correct if I'm wrong.
My connection seems to be interrupted on continuous basis for short periods. I like that PBEM will be like the old SC1 days as I have had problems with the PBEM++ that Matrix uses. The multi-player games will be most attractive.

Looking forward to the release!

No you do not need a continuous Internet connection to use Steam. You can use Steam in offline mode. I think you do need to connect every so often, not sure if there are any time frames. Of course to download and update the game you'll need a continuous connection for those tasks.

Awesome, thanks budd. I guess its about time for me to create a Steam account.

I've always wanted to play Unity of Command. I'll try it while I wait for Total Victory!
