Adding free states?

Post by Emp_Palpatine »

Hi gentlemen,

Is there a way to add some free states in the alternate 1805 scenario?
I would like, for instance, for Switzerland, Genoa or Tuscany to be releasable as free states. Is this possible with some sorcery or modding or editor?

Thanks in advance!

The Alt EIH 1805 data file is eianw002.ged in /Data/databases. Make a copy of that and rename it to something beyond 006, say eianw012.ged, and then you can edit that to add minor corps for those nations. To make them a Free State, use the admin menu to change them from Conquered to Free State. That should work.

Use the scenario editor in the game. See section 14 in the game manual. After you copy eianw002 and rename it to eianw012 or whatever, it will show up in the editor. You should retitle the scenario too so it shows up different at game start.
