B1892 Coot surviving 4 F-35s with EW

It happened in Trident Boreal, and recreated it in this test scenario.

Reporting as a bug, but perhaps it is just that electronic warfare is this powerful

Comms disruption and jamming are selected in the options.

A single Il-22PP Coot can survive 4 F-35Cs with EW.

If you run the scenario several times it is possible that is destroyed, but still remarkable, blue side is F-35s jamming.

Tried this now, in the current dev build (essentially v1.10+), and was unable to recreate the problem. The F-35 flight is of course suffering from increasing comms disruption as they get closer (probably more than they should, I'll need to check the MALD properties) but ultimately they face no problem getting enough shots to kill the Il-22.

Is anyone experiencing the described problem?

If you are looking into this, this 2nd scenario may be useful.

It is from the last scenario posted by Mark Gellis.

In this case the jammers, including Comms jamming, are 2 EC-130H Compass Call.

Again tested in B1892.

Run at single/double flame until this situation. Some of the MiGs will be destroyed by lack of fuel because they advance too far in the south of the zones, this behavior does not happen if the Comms jammer is removed from the Compass Call ACs.

It is true that they may shoot down some enemy ACs in the refueling zone, but seems suicidal.

Added some more tweaks to the simplified comms-jamming model for the next update. F-35s should be particularly difficult to disrupt effectively because of their MADL datalinks.

For the second example: Is the suspect behavior that the off-grid aircraft are apparently not checking for bingo and thus ditching ?

Perhaps that is also happening with the Out of Comms MiGs.

My interpretation was that they stop doing their mission (or at least do it differently) and become "lost and reckless", going beyond their returning point.

There are also blue ADs that they have to cross to RTB, so more fuel is spent.

An Out-of Comms pilot should not be less aggresive?

Are you able to replicate the problematic behavior on a small-scale test? Scens with thousands of units are a PITA to debug.

Same scenario simplified.

Some of the MiGs in the North remain, if not the MiG in the South will occupy their position instead of the wanted behavior.

Most of the blue ACs gone.

is this enough?
