This inability to flexibly change easely unit sounds is a very big problem that hinders modding of the game, since several different types of units sometimes share the same sound, and in that case, it’s impossible to create a coherent sound design (at this time, by example, I have in my tactical mod in work reco armored cars and nebelwerfer that share the same sound, etc). It's probably the unic big probleme in editor (there are some other imperfections, but little), and in my opinion it would be interessant to solve that definitivEly;
All tests I do go in the same direction : incredible moddability of the game, the possibilities are exceptionnal, excepted for sounds. Really frustrating, modders have to do lot of difficult combinations to avoid these problems of sounds, and to allow them possibility to attribute sounds to units would be really appreciated.
In this context, Iw was very interessant to read that : (a old but really usefull thread)

At this old time, the problem of sounds was already asked for a solution
CITATION of a post in the thread :
Regarding the soundfiles I would suggest a editor based sound section. It would be fine to have a selection screen in which we can select a sound file and assign it to a unit/resource. The destination folder should be the respective sound folder of the active Mod campaign. This would have the advantage that newly created .ogg files could also be selected and assigned.
Almost ten years after, sound problem stays the same. What did Hubert do during these 10 yeras ? It's scandalous
Concerning supply system, some tips are needed to conduct AI in the way we want, but it's solvable (by exemple, I did find a way to distribute supply directly to units by principal roads and not by rails, and AI seems have perfectly understanded what I wanted to obtain,the AI seems to really like being tricked
Question N° 2 : I noticed that when tanks attack, they use very oft battle 9 and battle 10 sounds ("boum sound") and not battle N° 1 to 8 (sounds of LMG, rifles, etc). Is this a reality in the code or just a statistic situation in my games (a false impression) ? If it's a reality in code, it will be very usefull
