Little tip for Localization file

Post by welk »

When your mod has some specific terms, these terms are taken in mind only after you lunch the campaign

But sometimes, you want to have your terms more soon, immediatly at start of the game
By example : in my ASL Tactic mod, I replaced the setting "Music volume" by "Background volume"

If I place my localization file only in "campaigns", I have to wait to lunch the campaign to have "background volume" in settings (before that, engine display "Music volume" in settings

But if I place a copy of my localization file in "Mods", I get immediatly "background volume" when the game start, before I lunch the campaign scenario

I am pretty sure this is by design. Mods are for Mods that happen right away. But scenario mods only kick in if you select the scenario.

I think so, but in some cases, it does not work in editor (just in game)

which makes sense, the game engine reads the mod not the game editor.
