Large amphibious landing

Post by DKF12 »

I am preparing to make a large amphibious landing on Guam. Is it best to break it up into 2-3 waves ?
Guam has 25K troops
Thanks

Oh yes, ask the same question twice.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing! :o

Have your best commander on the first wave; he will become your Beach Master. Load that wave with your assault troops and don't forget to add combat engineers. Your first wave will take heavy losses.

Order your primary Amphib TF to "Remain on Station." As landing craft empty, detach them and send them home. As room opens up (you can have up to 100), have loaded ships from your follow-on TFs to merge with your primary. This will avoid the heavy losses incurred on the first day.

If you are playing with stacking limits, You should ensure your 1st wave landing is below the stacking cap. In some senarios you may get a haircut if you overstack.
