Is this WAD?
If not, is there a list what should be in de package and what should still be found on the internet?
The CMO installation comes with a few DB images, the additional images have been always a pack that can be download here: https://command.matrixgames.com/?page_id=1876

AFAIK, the images that are automatically downloaded are the ones that comes with the default installation.

Even the most recent updates still are lacking pics for some platforms and a number of db entries are simply void. But that being said, I've attached a zip archive with lists of current and missing pics for db3000 aircraft and ships. The lists are not complete but should give you a starting point. The two lists are updated thru the next update which should be up in the future.

Updated images & descriptions packs are now available on the WS downloads page!

The DB3000 update now contains 19243 files. The CWDB update now contains 8540 files. The secondary image files pack remains as-is, and contains a total of 4,485 images.

The images can also be downloaded on-demand from within CMO (no manual action needed). If you wish to re-download images that you have already got (e.g. to update), delete all files in these folders:
[CMO]\DB\Images\DB3000
[CMO]\DB\Images\CWDB

Special recognition for this release to kgambit and CV60!

For shits and giggles...last night I asked ChatGPT to find all DB519 units that do not have descriptions and build them. The rough process:

1) created a directory list of the description folder in CMO.
2) Loaded DB519, the dir list, and a sample of each type of unit.
3) Prompted the AI to give me one to two paragraph summary of the unit. Plus I asked for a list of the engine type, range, weapon loads, speed, and a few other parameters.
4) I made sure the prompt also followed the file naming convention. The AI seemed to get that regardless. Just played it safe.
5) I also added the specific folder address for the description folder.
6) I asked it to run a sample for each unit type. It did and they turned out pretty good.
7) I told it to go to full power.

It created a zip with 10k description files. I asked it to do it for CWDB and got 17k txt files. It took about 15 minutes per database. But the aggregated files are pretty big. It'll be easier to just run a prompt for yourself. I'm going to iterate it a few times to make it a little easier to post the prompt I am using and maybe add more detail to the description. Didn't know if anyone had tried this yet.

In the end, it might be an easier way to do both pics and descriptions.

edit: I should add the overall process took less than hour using the PRO version of ChatGPT. You can't do this with the freemium version.

edit2: Doing some clean up and ran out of subscribed resources have to wait until tonight for replenishment. It takes a lot of web search by the LLM to do this.
