Bf110 Straffing Not Available

Hello,

I come back to this every few years to play again and test a different approach to Luftwaffe. Really appreciate everyone that has contributed to this game over the years. JC, HardSarge, Harley and all the others...

Can anyone remind me please, why are the Bf 100's prevented from strafing in BoB? There's no such limit on P-38's in BTR.

The original devs never gave a reason that I know of.

But, the P-38 of 1943 vastly outperforms the Bf110 of 1940, especially at low altitudes. My guess is the Fighter Sweep (in game terms) is not representative of the LW doctrine for the role of a Bf110 fighter in the Battle of Britain.

As a compromise, you do get a few groups of Bf110 fighter bombers that are quite effective in low level attacks on RAF airfields.
