Join the tournament: three battles for Ypres
There is also a chance to test your command skills on the battlefields of the First World War. Sign up for the tournament and take on three rounds, each lasting 30 days, covering pivotal battles around Ypres:
- Round 1 – 1914: The First Battle of Ypres: Fight the battle that ends the “Race to the Sea” and marks the beginning of trench warfare on the Western Front.
- Round 2 – 1915: The Second Battle of Ypres: Face a new threat as German forces unleash poison gas on a massive scale.
- Round 3 – 1917: The Third Battle of Ypres: Lead the Allied offensive to seize the ridges south and east of Ypres and the railway station at Passchendaele.
