Same event constantly recurring

Post by Xebec »

v1.32D - Oceania + Republica -

The event "The Interior Council wants to hurt my interests" has happened at least 6 times in the last 12 turns.

This is also a general feedback/complaint I have about the game is these "PP / IP" harvesting events happen way too often. The MTHs on this current game (x4) have decided they need IP and/or population almost every turn - forcing either low IP production or high Enforcement. There needs to be an option for "don't bother me with this again [for a while]", even if it costs a lot of PP or credits.

In the case of IP, I have 3,296 at the start of a turn (Round 82), and the MTHs want to buy a total of 5,813. This forces me to build nothing next turn if I want to not damage my Commerce profile too much.

hello, yes, the 'buy IP' events are frequent sometimes, and its not exactly thrilling to see one pop up yet again at the start of the turn. They happen for an in-game reason, which should be because the MTH needs IP for building ships. The MTH roster tends towards a state of navel arms-racing. Your IP numbers are huge though.

This will make it even worse, so you are welcome in advance. But I can reveal to you that one can control how much IP the MTH is asking for in a particular event decision, even while the decision is up and active, in the same turn in other words, by transferring IP from your SHQ to your zone. In this way you can manipulate the requested amount to any number, even zero; and even at zero, although you will not gain any relationship improvement, you will still receive the +2 Commerce adjustment.

Perhaps a slider for the IP amount would help... and maybe a contract for future IP instead of a spot purchase model?
