A historic day indeed!

I didn't have time to check out the final release before leaving for work, does this include that showcase scenario mentioned for Today's Stream (Duel in the Philippine Sea, 2030)?

If not, will that scenario be made available soon?

No, the scenario is not included in this release. It was originally intended as a one off just for the stream but after the initial play testing I'm now planning to include it in the official scenarios at some point. It still needs some more play testing and changes before I'd be happy doing that, or maybe releasing it with the intention of getting feedback. My hope would be to release it as a new free MP only scenario, with maybe some others to follow later, but I need to check with the powers that be first.

It's a shame—they announce a big project as being finished, raise expectations, and then it turns out an update isn't possible because of bugs.
That's a shame—and when will the download be available?

The standalone issue wasn't known when the release schedule was frozen. We discovered it on release day, while the Steam build was unaffected. We decided not to delay the Steam release for everyone because of an issue affecting only the standalone build. We're working on the standalone fix.

If you have the standalone version, you also have a free Steam key. If you're in a real hurry, you can use that Steam key and play it on Steam until the standalone version becomes available.
