Just bought the bundle, Learning Curve?

Post by BeirutDude »

So just got an anniversary deal and bought the bundle. If I concentrate on learning Overlord does it apply to all or are they incremental? What are the main issues I would need to know that are different from other games? Been out of the hobby last three or so years so haven't kept up. Thanks for your help.

Overlord’s game engine is getting a small update (mostly bug fixes) + the Campaign Game and Tutorial are being updated (bug fixes).

Should be released by Matrix this month.

Same for Stalingrad, but this update (in addition to fixing bugs) will bring Overlord’s and Stalingrad's game engines in line.

And like Overlord, Stalingrad’s update should be released this month.

Will be a while for Desert War / Need to update the map to 2,500 meters per hex vs. 3,200 meters.

Recommend starting with Overlord’s Tutorial (the bug that got fixed was correcting all the Tutorial’s Battalions to equal 2 stacking points vs. 3 and all Tutorial Regiments and Brigades to equal 4 stacking points vs. 6).

Needless to say, you can play the Tutorial, but you’ve got to remember those two stacking point differences vs. all the other scenarios.

Hope I’m making sense?
