Revolutionary War game

Post by CountFloyd »

I've enjoyed a number of the Strategic Command games for a while now and am wondering what about one about the Revolutionary War? Things to ponder on this:

1.Map. What territories to cover and what scale of hexes to use? North Florida to Quebec to Detroit would seem to be a minimum. Given the many smaller units we'd see I'd assume a smaller scale than ACW.

2.Diplomacy. Recruiting aid and then intervention from the French and others would be complex and interesting.

3.Economics. Would normal production and research models fit here? The colonists war effort was hindered by internal divisions at times so would that need to be addressed somehow?

4.Unit Scales and Types. Lots of little units down to very small sizes I'd guess.

Anyone else have ideas on this?
