Been awhile since I had WiTP:AE installed. Was very pleased to see that Matrix has it, and most of my non-Steam versions I ever bought readily available to download, so salute to you guys for that!.

Tried out War on the Sea recently and ... well it definitely LOOKS much better than WiTPAE but it simply cannot hold a candle to the sheer simulatory extravagence of the old relict app.

It is such a god damn shame that no major overhauls have ever emerged for the game: mainly visual. But given the age of the code perhaps that is really not ever gonna happen. Now that we got Mechanized Cognition bots to assist, it would seem that almost anything could be possible re: rejuvenating ancient 80's era procedural code written in C style and refactored to count as C++ in visual studio :)

I mean ... if they can get Doom to run on a pregnancy test then maybe they can get WiTPAE to run with modern high-fidelity graphics that don't murder old man eyes?

I'm sure I'm figure it out but ... where do I stick these files now?
The x-ray is her siren song. My ship cannot resist her long. Nearer to my deadly goal. Until the black hole. Gains control...
