When trying to load a savegame that loads fine on the latest non-steam beta.

I can load this Canary Cage save in the same build.

Some 3rd party software could be interfering in the loading?

Haven't found what software could be interfering :(

Seems very strange that something like this can prevent loading a save file though. But software is software, so I have checked the log and...

Code: Select all

That could be pointing to CMORTMP.dll and/or PlayFabClient.dll... They seem related to Multiplayer.
I'm not on multiplayer today so I did a final test: Renamed CMORTMP.dll and voilà. The save is up and running and no exceptions in the log. I have been playing for an hour now with no issues.

I do not know if this gives some kind of hint or not, but at least I get to play

That DLL shouldn't be related at all but it's definetely strange, can you confirm that with the renamed CMORTMP.dll you no longer has the issue and if you get back to the original name the issue is again present?

Hi,

after renaming the DLL I have been playing without issues.
A few minutes ago I have reverted the DLL to the original name and the savegame is loading fine.

BUT during these days the computer has been restarted at least two times. On the other hand I restarted it, as part of the routine things to do when everything else fails, and it did nothing. That's when I thought of renaming the DLL.
I know that this does not give a reproducible scenario and that there is software that updates after restarts and the like.

If it happens again I'll try to get to an specific set of steps.

Thanks!
