End of Russian Turn 9: August 17, 1941

Must stand and fight for major river defense lines, and all other lines. Just made minimal changes to lines and let most unit recover from fatigue. Rain and mud are coming soon (fall) and expect Wehrmacht at that time to rest troops and wait for logistics to catch up. September is last real good month for offensive operations of the Wehrmacht. Weather forecast is good weather for next turn.

Is anybody monitoring this website now?

Yes there will be community members reading your posts in your AAR and I guess its fine to ask questions in the AAR but your most likely to get a reply in your AAR about the actual match rather than questions on game mechanics or suggestions.
May I suggest posting any questions in the general discussion section particularly the " quick questions thread " and ideas in the suggestion thread, the DEVS will more than likely see any suggestions there than in your AAR.

Now I will ask you a question about this game

Is this game played with sudden death options on ? you seem to going pretty well in your Axis moves in the north and south but at turn 7 in the centre the Red Army still holds Smolensk.

YES
Currently the Wehrmacht high water mark is 475 VP (450 cities + 25 bonus for early city capture). Wehrmacht sudden victory is 700 VP on 10/1/1941, turn 16. Wehrmacht sudden loss (death) is 525 VP or less starting on 1/1/1942, turn 29. The decision to stand this turn is also based trying to save Leningrad and Moscow in 1941; continuous retreat keeps the Russian Army very fatigued and without fortifications!

End of German Turn 10: August 24, 1941

Within 2 hexes of Narva River Line. Attacked in all 3 directions from Pskov to Leningrad (within 3 hexes from Gdov, 4 hexes from Luga, and 5 hexes from Novgorod).

Rested most panzers around Smolensk for push towards Vyazma. Dnepr River entirely in German hands down to East Kiev.

Pushed across Dnepr River near Kiev and surrounded South Kiev (3 divisions). Nikolaev still holds out; 3 hexes from Cherkassy.

End of Russian Turn 10: August 24, 1941

Abandoned Shimsk, but basically standing to fight another turn on Narva River Line and Lake Peipus-Lake Ilmen Line.

Defending along Dnepr River north of Kiev.

Abandoned E. Kiev by linking up and withdrawing (saved 3 divisions). Manned Ingul River Line and holding at Nikolaev.

End of German Turn 11: August 31, 1941

I WAS RUNNING OUT OF SUPPLY VERY QUICKLY BECAUSE I WASN'T BUILDING DEPOTS IN CITIES NEAR FRONT. CORRECTED THAT THIS TURN. THAT IS WHY MY UNIT STRENGTHS WERE SO LOW!

At Narva River Line; XXVI Corps 4 hexes away from it to south. Took Shimsk on Lake Ilmen short.

Main attack was east of Smolensk; heavy fighting to clear swamps with clear terrain and light woods eastward to follow.

2 hexes from Cherkassy. Adjacent to Nikolaev.
