Hi Guys and Girls...

Post by RevRick »

I'm back. For those who don't know, I finally, after about five months, found a doctor who thought he could get my back straightened out short of major surgery. He did what is called an IDET - Inter discal Electrothermal therapy. Don't look it up. You don't want to. All I can tell you is that if giving birth hurts more than this, I have a brand new respect for motherhood.

Anyway, that was on Mar. 15, and I've got about two-three months to go when the therapy begins, and the pain level is already down about 70-80% most of the time. Hurts today, but then again, I was back in the pulpit for two services and praise band practice, so it was a long first day back - 5 1/2 hours. But, what I want to know is what's happening on the board? Any new hot problems? Any word on when WitP will be ready? Any new babies, or weddings? In other words, in the words of the legendary Justin Wilson - How y'all are?

Well, I'm still a-drivin' muh pickenemup truck with a trailem too. Good to "see" ya, Rev.

The forums got hacked in January and a whole bunch of the old stuff (including about three fourths of the old Bismarck thread) got lost. A less damaging hack occurred about two weeks later. The current appearance of the forums is a result of Matrix installing more advanced and secure software on their server.

Go to the WitP threads and check out Brady's posts. It's a howl, especially if it only hurts when you laugh.

Childbirth has been described as the equivalent of grabbing your upper lip and pulling it all the way back over your head. If you are doing worse than that, my condolences, and I hope the pain medication is fun.
Put my faith in the people
And the people let me down.
So, I turned the other way,
And I carry on anyhow.

RevRick-
Glad to have you back, and I'm glad to hear your treatment was/is successful.

Latest semi-rumor is WiTP will be out around June sometime, barring any huge setback... Check out www.2by3games.com for a "Developer's Diary" by Joel describing some of the progress. Other than that, it's been quiet in the WitP forum - people are getting at each other's throats its been so quiet. Methinks that means beta is VERY close.

The UV forums have been pretty quiet. We have some new hands onboard, but other than that most of the action is in the AAR threads. Quark/Attack Condor's (now "Shadow of the Condor" due to hack-related problems) AAR has gotten very interesting lately... I recommend it.

Not much else to report...
Again, glad to have you back.
