Did You Make it? (MC Leaders)

Post by Wild Bill »

Colonels Collins (MC-W) and Dietsl(MC-NA), along with Captains Vebber (MC-LV) and Miller (MC-SE) follow a long arduous career in their fights through the Mega Campaigns.

I'm curious.

How many of you were able to take your leader through the entire campaign and survive the ordeal?

Was your commander wounded, killed or taken prisoner?

How many awards were bestowed upon him?

I'm quite sure that not many survived, but it would be interesting to hear from you on this.

Anybody make it?

Ok. I only played MC-NA. But I didn't finish it. I stoped playing at Tobruk because I had no time to play. During the campaing my HQ was wonded once. But he survived.

Colonel Collins did OK, one person on his staff was hit during the campaign. Ended with a moderate overall. Did get colonel whats-his-face that was terrorizing the natives.

Oberst Dietsl's staff was caught in the sights of bypassed sentries during a raid on Tobruch. He survived the experience, but 3 members of his staff were hit. He is cleaning up after the battles at Halfaya Pass right now.

Captain Miller is unscathed as he oversees the retreat to Bastogne.

Captain Vebber is still waiting for the starting gun.

Hi Bill:

I made it intact with Col Collins but only with a Marginal [8|] Victory. You would think I could have earned better given I helped design the darn thing! I am into my third try and I am still waiting for some tank crew to quit eating lunch and get back into their tank. Of course I am not going to mention names... [:D] They did the first and second time but only after I promised them a 90 mm gun for their Sherman!

Sorry, I did not keep track of causalities or honors.

I am still playing (and enjoying) our "Chosen Few" campaign and finally got a Decisive after five tries!! Couple of Redleg's battles gave me fits! The one in the high pass with a major snowstorm (no visability) is a tough sucker! The important thing is we made it back intact and brought out our dead and wounded.

Collins and Dietsl did well, making it all the way through. Both were wounded twice or so and recieved every award.

Vebber is only at battle 7 and is untouched.

Miller however....... *sigh*

Dead in the first battle. His replacements killed twice and wounded another 3 times. Hard, hard fights for the Eagles.
