Upcoming "Quickie" - Gotta Play It - AAR

Post by Wild Bill »

After Action Report on Redleg's Taking Tatskintskaya Airfield, Stalingrad. Scenario 5 turns...15-20 minutes play time.

Report from Comrade Wildovich:
------------------

Near Stalingrad...East Front, Dec, 1942...communique

Comrade Colonel, our tank force is proceeding to Tatskintkskaya airfield as ordered. The only enemy we have encountered so far are the enemy transports hurriedly leaving the airfield like frightened quail. I'm having a hard time controlling the tank leaders from firing at them with their machine guns.

We are now approaching the base and encountering what appears to be futile resistance from a few of Fritz's tanks. They are falling before our guns.

Colonel, Kvlis calling...Resistance has become much stronger as we move in among the wreckage of aircraft and the hangars. It appears that the enemy is making a rather fanatical stand after all.

Our infantry has no stomach for the fight. Will you notify commissar Redlegovich of this insufferable cowardice on their part? They leap from the tanks at the crack of a frozen branch and bury themselves in the snow. If I had time, I would shoot them myself!

Kvlis calling again, Comrade Colonel! i regret to inform you that two tanks of our northern force were destroyed. There was an enemy tank abandoned by its crew.

We never saw them but they must have crept back into the tank and ambushed Sgts. Polzin and Valosky. Never liked Valosky but Polzin was a true warrior. His loss will be felt.

Comrade Colonel, I warned you of the danger with a small northern attack force. I...yes sir...I understand my duty to the Motherland and Comrade Stalin. We are proceeding under heavy infantry fire.

Kvlis callin Headquarters. We have secured the airbase, but have taken the loss of two tanks, plus one immobilized. The airfield is cleared. The infantry? Unforgiveable their conduct in front of German eyes. Lt Bogdanan should be court-martialed for cowardice, he and his lackey troops.

This scenario by Redleg is 15 minutes (5 turns) of pure excitement! Want it? Image

What a question, of course we want it. Image

Great job on "A MEETING OF DEVILS" by the way i dont want to spoil the action for those who hasn't played it yet, but there were action from the first until the last turn becouse my paradrop went totaly to peaces. I had to chase that whimpy italian Ferarri with an attitude for 4 turns before i could sqaush it like the bug it is. I love the pathfinders, they are super tropers in bionic armor, they killed awerything they could get there hands on.

Loved the scenario. Thanks Thanks Thanks

Gotta love that name, "Dice4Eyes." It would make a good auto tag too (LOL)!

The sequel to Primosole, "A Meeting of Devils" will be available shortly. The battle did not end there, but went on for two more days.

The coming of German armor, then British armor, then German antitank guns, then more German armor is all included in the upcoming "Fuel to the Fire"

Watch for it soon in the SPWAW Game Depot scenario download section.

The Airfield quickie will be going up into the same place today if possible.

Thanks, my friend. We'll try to do more just as good and better than the Meeting of Devils...Wild Bill

Well i should probably change it to something a little more "computerish" these days after playing W@W so much. Only one more turn Image

I'll try the scenario as the axis next. And the first thing i'll do is hunt that pathfinder to death(insert maniac laugh here).

Its okay, we're all a little addicted right now. Campaigns are worse.
You finish a battle in a campaign, wife or girl friend is calling.."About finished, honey?"

"Yeah, winding up right now, Sweetheart"
(But I'll set this next battle up now..well, maybe the first turn..WHAT! I won't take that! I'll get you on this next..)

"Yes, Sweetie, I am just cleaning up a bit in here before I come in there where you are. Hold on!"

(Now let me get this second turn and my revenge...)

And so it goes (G)

ROFLOL

I'm not playing campaigns at the moment, i think i can wait until the bugs are squashed, in the meantime there are a lot of great scenarios still unplayed. Yeehaaa!!!

You and the others from Matrix games are most likely not to popular with this forums "predominatly male oriented members" wifes and girlfriends at this moment in time. Image

I think we are on many a "war widow" hit list, including my own household Image

No, Beth is one of my best supporters. Without her I could never do what I do. She is the best.

I do get on her nerves sometimes, though Image
especially with the war volume up a bit and my whooping and hollering, cheering and lamenting.

She simplys asks, "Are you still taking your medication?" Nuff said Image
