Turkey?

Post by wodin »

Will the game include Turkey and the Middle east.

I would like to have a go at Gallipoli and see whether I could fair any better:)

If the Allies had stuck to what Winston Churchill wanted and that was to take Turkey with the Navy they might have done it.

The reason being was that Turkey was nearly out of Ammo when they decided to try a land assualt instead.

If they had taken the defences to the straits it might have been a different story altogether. I would like to have the oppertunity to try it:)

Turkey and the Caucasus front is in the game. The middle east however is not. The map stretches to southern Turkey. So you can pull a Gallipoli.

Its a pity about the ME not being involved, as obviously this holds a lot of interest for the Australians on the boards

yes Ive read quite a lot on the subject (my great grandfather and his two brothers were there - Monty is still there). My Great Grandfather went onto serve in the Middle east with the light horse before going to France. His other brother went and fought in France earlier.

Id love to be able to follow his regiments movements.
