Transport Planes...

Post by Gen. Maczek »

Is it possible to keep Transport planes (or for that matter any other aircraft) on the map when designing a scenario based on an airfield, or one that has an airfield in it? I have tried this and the transport planes dont show up...How do I 'ground them'?
Thanks and Regards.

Gen. Maczek I may have a solution for you, but it takes a little time. It can only be done in the Scenario Editor. First after you have picked your units and loaded your planes go to the "reinforcement key" (its the single green flag in the lower left corner of the control screen). It will ask you which reinforcement hex you want your plane to come in at( I just pick #1-its at the center edge of the map). Then it will ask at which turn you want it to come in at(you have top pick a turn greater than turn 2). Finally, you have to modify the aircraft speed, since now you will control them. The speed they are set at will only be 2-3 hexes! Go to the Modify Current Unit (its the key with the little tank on it) key, and just change the speed. When I do it, I have it so they can cover about half the map per turn. The planes can be reloaded (similar to using air-landed infantry), but I think the gliders crash when you unload them. I hope this helps.
