The manual mentions several tutorials for tanks, artillery, etc. but I cannot find them. Am I being very green or are they not included in the download 8.0?[&:]

Unfortunately they are not included. They needed to be updated to 8.0 standard but didn't make it in time. They are included in the 8.2 patch which is due to come out very soon.
