Click the aircraft and then L, then the squad, with the squad being in the same hex. Same as with landing barges. Note planes or barges, trucks, etc., can be overloaded during design by first lowering the size of the squad, loading, then using the editor to bring them back to full strength. However, once unloaded, the won't be able to reload (so an overloaded truck needs to get to where it's useful before unloading or the boys could have a long walk).

WHAAAA???? [&:]

I line my planes up during deploy.
Then I cluster the units that I want to load around each plane.
Then I select a unit, hit 'L', and select the target plane.
Then I select another unit, hit 'L', and select the same target plane
I repeat that routine until the plane is full (Check out the IT Cargo plane [;)] )

During Deployment, units do NOT have to be in the same hex to load.
During Deployment you can even unload and restructure landing craft loads - in the water!!

Planes cannot be loaded during game play as they are not available assets after Deployment. The same is true for Gliders.

on a side note, remember that when the paratroops jump, they drop down in a 'Stick' and they do so in the opposite order in which you loaded them on the plane. I tend to put platoon leaders in the middle of the 'Stick' rather than at the front or back (first or last loaded on the plane) This doesn't matter in a Glider, as they all arrive in the same hex.

Good Jumping! [8D]
