I'd just like to express my gratitude towards Matrix and Panther games, for making such a great game. I'm only throught the tutorials but I already love this game. Hopefully the add-ons I've read about will be as good as this one was.
It is sincerity and faithfulness. It is self-sacrifice, duty, adherence to principle and unwavering loyalty to one's lord despite what the lord stands for, good or evil. It is an acceptance of one's place and status.

I'd just like to second Makoto's comments.

I bought HttR a couple of days ago and am loving it! [:D]

The command structure is fantastic. It's easy to say with hindsight but I can't believe no one has done it before (to my knowledge.)

I like games where I can watch the AI. I find it fascinating to order a HQ and then watch how it handles it's units to carry out my order. The enemy AI has proved itself quite capable of handing me my butt on quite a few occasions. It's very impressive.

For some reason (not sure why) Market Garden was never one of my favourite battles to play in a wargame but all the scenario's have been a joy to play. The maps are absolutely beautiful.

HttR could form the foundation of a new age in wargaming. I've read that Crete, Bulge and Normandy may also be simulated in the future, and that's great.. but it seems to me that the greatest potential would be in a Steel Panthers type of game. Where you can set up meeting engagements, attack, defense style games, etc, picking units from a resource pool based on cost. Also, although I love the operational aspects of the game, it'd be great to see variants simulating squad level combat.

Anyway, enough ramblings from me. Contratulations to Panther and Matrix for this game. Long live the series [:)]

Wecome to the growing list of Panther converts. Once you see HTTR, it really is tough to go back to any other game.

There's a few features I'd like to see added, but I think they've all been addressed in the thread. A biggy for me is an ETA on an order. It's kinda hard to estimate how long it'll take unit X to move from point A to point B.

If you're playing with the orders delay set to 'painfully realistic' it's an absolute nightmare. Once the unit has received the order you can click on the destination marker twice where you'll see the eta. Only if circumstances change (they come under fire, they observe enemy units, the CO goes down with a serious case of 'Delhi Belly') then the eta changes. Friendly 'Fog of War'[:)] At least it's better than 'Friendly Fire'
