Forum dying off?

Post by wodin »

Are the players slowly dying off here?

Is this game coming to the end of its life span?

I hope not as this game has one of the best sytems Ive seen in a strategy game. Plus the RPG bit adds so much to.

I hope people design some new mods. I would love to see a Titan Icon for each chassis. The back of the box says there are over 20 different chassis to chose from and then install your bits and pieces.

Some new missions would be good to.

I'm still around, I just rarely have the time to play the game anymore, so consequently I have very little to post.
We sometimes catch a window
A glimpse of what's beyond
Was it just imagination
Stringing us along?
More things than are dreamed about
Unseen and unexplained
We suspend our disbelief
And we are entertained

There are 20 different chassis, 4 in each weight class ;-) Each one has its own icon too. Installing bits and pieces, that's systems and weapons and armor.

Larkin already said in the forum that there'll be 2 new player made campaigns in patch 1.2 , plus a cleaned up version of Deep Core. Shouldn't take too long to be available I think.

Excellent I thought there was only about ten different icons.

Any Icon mods around?

It has it's spurts.. it will be quite for a while then they're be a burst of activity. As far as dying, not likely! There's enough of us old timers that hung out at the old freeware site for years and have no plans for 'moving on' [:)] We're just lurking around waiting to answer questions and for new insites in to the game and it's stradagys.

The people that have been working on maps/campaignd are waiting on the completion/release of the next patch, the patch will adds quite a few new effects that can be used in creating missions. As for new campaigns, there's the 2 Iceman mentioned, plus there's another 1 that's either completed are extremely close, and another very short one... and I'm planning on another one when I get some vaction time next month...and that just the ones I know about [:)]

I think the full editor will be released at some point in time in the future (it's still being worked on and added too) that will give more people a chance to make some maps... although.. the 'partial' editor that comes with the game can be used to make some very good maps/missions.

All sounds very good indeed. This game looks like it will be a very very good purchase indeed.
